April's AFTER, TA-DA

Well folks, here she is! I am usually not a girly-girl but I had a lot of fun making this camper girly. With a little paint, some TLC, elbow grease and a couple of decorations I am smitten with the results. She will be all set up and for sale at the Red Barn Farms Fall Festival in Colton, WA, October 13th and 14th.

April, my new camper project!

So...driving to work the other day I noticed a camper I had been
eyeballing for about a year
got a fresh coat of
turquoise paint.
And then, on my way back from lunch I noticed that the little turquoise camper now had a FOR SALE sign in the window. So, what did I do? Stopped to look at after work,
liked it, bought it and brought it home.
Here is a look at the before shots. She is a 1959 16ft Forester.

My 1964 Aloha...whoot whoot!!

Super excited to be the very proud owner of this little 12ft fixer-upper! I have been wanting a vintage camper for way too long and I finally got one. My husband thinks I'm crazy, what's new, but I can not wait to dive in. It's got a little water damage, a few bee's nests and a lot of work ahead of it. At the Farm Chicks Show earlier this month, I bought some vintage bark cloth from the fabric booth in Bay 1 for curtains, throw pillows and who knows what else. I'm hooked on looking at other vintage campers online and the Vintage Bag Lady of Cheney has some great pictures...Looks SOO fun! Check out her blog. http://cheneybaglady.blogspot.com/2011/06/farm-chicks-weekend.html
Hopefully I'll get this project started soon so I can post more pictures. Happy Camping!
